When is Form 2290 Dues?
For every month your vehicle is used on a public highway you must file 2290 form tax your vehicle. The deadline to file is not based on your vehicle registration date but begins July 1 of the current year and ends June 30 of the following year. You must file the form by the last day of the month following the month in which the vehicle was first used on a public highway. For example, if you first use your vehicle on June 15 you will need to file your form by July 31 of the following year.
